Your treatment starts with full diagnostics: a 3D scan of your mouth and jaw structure, digital X-rays and digital impressions with which they make models.
To ensure dentures fit correctly and are comfortable for the patient, Drs. Parra and Craighead capture comprehensive data on the patient’s smile and lip line, speech patterns, jaw measurements and bite. They spend a lot of time mapping the gums where the denture will sit with special impression material so that they get an exact impression for their lab to work with.

Drs. Craighead and Parra work with the patient to select the right color, shape and size of teeth. They have patients bring in photos of how they would like their smile to look. They do try-ins with the new dentures, take photos and get continuous feedback from the patient until he or she is completely satisfied.
The doctors make your dentures from a high-grade acrylic that is a lot stronger and more aesthetic than normal denture material. They make the dentures very realistic by using six to eight different layers of tooth colors and translucency.
This creates a harmonious interplay of translucency, opalescence (showing various colors like an opal) and brightness—just like natural teeth.
Drs. Parra and Craighead use dental labs and master ceramists trained in functional occlusion (how the teeth align and come together when chewing), which enables them to fabricate dentures that can withstand very strong chewing forces.

Dr. Ada Parra and Dr. Justin Craighead are both prosthodontists, specialists with three years additional training in aesthetic tooth restoration, including dentures, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and full-mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Parra has additionally completed a two-year implant surgical fellowship program at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
